Petit Jean State Park, Arkansas Petit Jean State Park, Arkansas, USA – 2009 Gallery from a blog entry about a potentially very depressing roadtrip through Arkansas!! Chilling out as we re-enter our adopted home-state. The car blew up and we had to walk back to Texas from Arkansas. Just kidding. Me at the Texas/Arkansas border. Just resting by a huge waterfall. I don’t even like this photo. I think this was the main attraction at Petit Jean State Park. Thankfully we arrived early before any other humans were there to taint the experience. More nature, etc. Another place to write some timeless lines that doubtlessly will be under-appreciated until after the author is dead. A great place for a sensitive-type of guy to write poetry. Graffiti on the sign says, “like 10 more minutes” to the waterfall. Their estimate was accurate. Depressing pictoral representation of the trip. The view from right outside of Mather Lodge. Very expansive, most people would probably call it humbling. Kind of what you’d expect to see if you believe in a stereotypical Arkansas. A jovial cyclist enjoys riding in the St. Patrick’s Day parade. A nice view of Hot Springs, an enjoyable little family town. Andrew started pissing in this empty ditch and before we knew it he had created a lake!! Goth gathering at park in Hot Springs. Verdure park in Hot Springs; I could also see someone writing poetry here. A badass fish skeleton. The mood of the trip is somberly portrayed in this photo. Andrew chilling out at the Arkansas welcome center right after the Texas/Arkansas border. This guy was on another level. He was holding a stuffed animal in front of him so he could take it’s picture with the Arkansas sign in the background.
